Hello, I created this Blog to get some kind of web presence for my photography work. I am working towards a more showcase type site. The pictures posted here are low res quality to make uploading speedy, hope you enjoy, thanks for reading

Aperture Priority @ 70mph + SNOW
It's a beautiful site to get snow where you normally don't. The surrounding drivers must have thought me made to have the windows rolled down and snapping away with the camera!!

Thanksgiving day emergency run to grocery store
Whilst on a run to pick up "emergency desserts" for Thanksgiving I saw these trees in the parking lot, they screamed "SHOOT US", since I was not in the drivers seat I have no problem hanging out of the window with my camera.
Wireless Flash fun
This is a result of using an SB-800 as remote with a Gary Fong diffuser being used as a snoot by taking the cover off.

Long Exposure
Looking at my archive, I stumbled across this one, what struck me as odd is that it was done with a 25 second exposure at f16. I forgot I let the camera sit that long open!

Soft Touch
This picture started out as a color shot but the lighting was very difficult, a mix of standard bulbs and fluorescent and all dim, the ISO is pushed to 500. The B&W and softness done in CS3
Pier 39
These Seals know how to loaf about! The place in the background is Forbes Island, a neat restaurant on the water, it is actually a self propelled vessel that started it's life in Sausalito.
Vehicular self port
Not to be content with a simple camera phone picture, NEVER. Using my D200 with power grip with wide angle lens.

Free Style on the Walk of Fame
These guys were cool, and there were a lot of them! Plus check out the belt on that guy in the green shirt!!
City Night Shot B&W
The B&W remind me of my high school days doing B&W shooting with my old, old older than F2 Nikon. Wish I knew where that negative was. It would be fun to see how many buildings have gone up since 1987 to now, as I remember it was a much clearer view of the bridge from Twin Peaks.

More Sky, now with juice, and other stuff removed
More CS3 action on this one. The park was very empty too, the benefit of visiting right in the middle of a normal work day..

Big Kitty!!
I normally don't break out my 105mm 2.8 Macro. Tonight I did and just shot random stuff in the house, playing with Nikon CLS with a Gary Fong attached. The D200 is still proving to be a a viable work horse. Click on the picture, it is a big picture.

I made him Famous
On my trip down Hollywood Blvd. This guy saw my camera and asked me if I could take pictures of him paparazzi style, reason being he wanted to show off to some girls. It kinda worked, plus he hammed i up pretty well. He claims he is the Black Brad Pitt!!

Tree Time

Time for small group photography.
The kids all wanted to hang out in a tree. The older kids liked this tree because it looked like the "hang out tree" for teens that needed to exclaim love for each other. This tree is in a secluded part of the park so it is easy for kids to graffiti on it. The older kids said "the tree's got TUDE' Dude"...

Wedding Day Pic. Good timing.
Which Brings me to this one

Since the last picture showed a shot from the night time I thought I should post this one. This was taken at the same place, which, by the way is Twin Peaks San Francisco, I neglected to mention that on the last post. It was about 6AM the next morning. Again, pretty darn cold, I am glad my gear stood up to the task. Almost no tourist at all that early. I have more from this morning, the colors change and blend so nice.

Night shot..cold....

This is Market St. in San Francisco at night. My camera, lens and tripod we're to cold to touch.
This is a long exposure, and what is really funny, is that even at this time of night, 9:34 pm, tourists are still walking around, where I was set up, a gentlemen from the Asia region of the world, stopped to look at what I was doing. He was quiet and kept his distance, for the most part, then he approached me and asked "you are taking pictures, right?". I turned to look at him, smiled and said "yes". He let out a loud "AH!" stopped to look at the scene, and then as I start another shot, he walks forward about 2 feet and proceeds to walk in front of the lens!! I did not say anything, at that point I just wanted him to be on his way...
